Riki is a painter of scope, painting outdoor summer jazz concerts; bar and night club scenes; in-depth character portraits; unique oil paintings of local Night Cityscapes, as well as seasonal plein air paintings of local landscapes and seascapes.

Favorite Artist - "I truly love visual art, in all it's form, and am a collector of both contemporary and period art."
"There are so many painters I am influenced by and admire, I cannot give a single favorite, but the short list would be - Odd Nerdstrom, Lucien Freud, Richard Diebenkorn, Edgar Payne, Winslow Homer, Wayne Thiebaud, Hopper, David Lefil, and others."
The Classics - "To include Monet on this list, would only seem obvious and pedestrian, unless you have seen his work in person. Not the water gardens, but the seascapes and beach crowd scenes, are nothing short of genius. In this, we may also talk about Van Gogh, whose street scenes and crows in field, have moved me to tears. Di Vinci, Rembrant; I am strongly influence by all of these classic masters of their various periods.
Favorite poets - "T.S. Elliot, and W.B. Yeats".
Favorite films -".... wide range, like the artists, from classic to science fiction. My favorite sci fi film would currently be Mel Gibson's 'Signs', . I am also a 'Star Trek' fan - my brother has a Ph.D. in astro physics, so I've always had an interest in this genre, as well as in the field of Quantum Physics. My favorite classical films would have to be Kenneth Branagh 's 'Hamlet', and I am also a Bergman fan, ('Wild Strawberries' and 'Fanny and Alexander' ) I also enjoy enjoy the Vampire Genre, from the original 'Dracula' - sans the Glass sound track - to the 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' series - good sci fi always has humor, intentional, or otherwise.
