Beach Meditations

When I go to the sea, I can count on getting in touch with whatever is going on inside of me;
I have had my most profound realizations while prodding the beach rubble,
and watching the waves.

There are mental exercises and shamainistic meditations that I have
been practicing for 20 years,
and with each visit to the sea
I get something new from them.

The sea side is an inexhaustible source of healing magical energy and experience.

SHAMANISTIC Meditations

Blind Beach Walk...

(do this with care, or you'll wind up with wet shoes)

Go to the beach and walk along the shore.

Now, walk as close to the very edge of the water as possible,
let it touch your feet a little,
Now,
Close your eyes, and listen. Walk for a short way with your eyes closed,
and see if you can keep from getting your feet wet by just listening and "feeling" what the water is doing.

Like all meditations, the goal is the experience, not perfection,
just do it for a few seconds at a time and see what it brings to you.


How to hear..

You can do this anywhere, I like the beach.

Get comfy someplace, and close your eyes.

Now hear all the sounds around you,

concentrate one sound.. the birds, the wave crashing...
and block out all else.

This is a simple but powerful meditation.

Very relaxing, and will help you improve your focus.
