About
Riki ...
Riki is a
professional artist whose work is featured in prominent galleries
around the Bay Area. She is the owner of H.W. Mangold Galleries,
fine art publishing, and is a writer and motivational speaker, specializing
in training people how to sell art.
Riki has
over 20 years of experience in successfully selling and promoting
the creations of some of the most important period and contemporary
artists and artisans of the 19th and 20th century. Having been,
for all intensive purposes, raised in the back of an antique, jewelry,
and Fine Art Gallery, she went on to a successful career working
as a Gallery Sales Manager, Art Consultant, and Sales Trainer in
some of the most prestigious retail art environments on west coast;
from art fairs, to top of the line antique shows, to what was once
the largest contemporary Art Gallery chain in the United States.
Riki Nelson
has represented and promoted mediums that range from original fine
art oil paintings, to sculpture, craft, jewelry, contemporary art
glass, and period antiques as well as limited edition reproductions.
When she began selling her art and promoting her own art career,
she found herself inundated by requests from artists seeking help
with their own art careers.
Because of
Riki's unique background as an Art Gallery sales trainer and sales
manager , promotions manager and art consultant, AND a professional
artist ...
She
now has art selling techniques, and an effective method for sharing
and teaching those techniques with other artists, down to a science.
Riki's information
packed, insightful and motivational lectures, workshops, seminars,
and private consulting services are getting rave reviews from artists
of all backgrounds. She is also in the process of creating, by request,
a comprehensive book on the subject of artists selling and presenting
their own work.
"...Unlike
other consultants in my field, who offer mostly the same solution
for every artist and art seller, I will help you to discover and
maximize what makes you and your business special and unique, as
your creativity is often your greatest, and most overlooked, strength.
I can then help you to integrate these attributes into proven methods
of marketing your business and art, and/or train you and your staff
in advanced communication skills, selling skills, and promotion
techniques.
Whether you
are a gallery owner who wishes to improve your promotional abilities
and your staff's selling skills, or you are an Artist trying to
market yourself and your work, the skills you will learn here will
be invaluable to you "
Offered
here are; lectures, workshops & sales training modules, and
private by-the-hour consulting for ; artists groups, individual
artists, co-op galleries, and privately owned fine art galleries.

"...One
of the most over looked keys to success in any art business is the
fine tuning and enhancement of your existing attributes - as one
client put it, '...The devil's in the details...' ".
If you're not sure where to start, Give me a call or send me
an email, remember, when it comes to promoting and selling your
own art, you are only doing it wrong, if you are not doing at all.
..
